Unut or Wenut was an ancient Egyptian goddess whose name means "the swift one" or "the one of On". She was typically depicted as a hare or a woman with the head of a hare. She was a local goddess of the 15th Upper Egyptian nome and was associated with the city of Hermopolis (Khmunu). She was sometimes associated with the sun god Ra and was seen as a protective deity.
